You might need to adjust some of the pic sizes, it was taking forever to load the pic of the HFS...
Make sure it loads quickly, and that the text is easy to read. ~Matt |

Re: Website Is Up And Running
Not bad! Not bad at all. I really only have three suggestions.
One, if you have a logo you need to incorporate that in your header. Right now you can hardly read your name in the header. If you don't have a logo you definitely need one so that you can brand yourself. Two - On the wood page, I would make the font smaller and look at the padding on your photos. Three - Make sure your images are the right size. It takes them an awful long time to load and they aren't that big. They should be 72dpi. Let me know if that helps. Thanks! |

RT is correct. Your images are way way way too big. You are allowing the browser to resize them after the full size image is downloaded. You should create a new image by resizing the photo and use that to post online. You can use a free tool like picsizer to create smaller more managable images. Other than that it looks good.

Re: Website Is Up And Running
From an SEO stand point you need to change your title bars. For your home page something to the effect of: locations(s) served and type of work. Then change the title bar of all pages to reflect what you are conveying on each page. Use googles adwords keyword tool to come up with keywords for what people are searching for.
You also need to add header tags (h1, h2,h3) etc, without being spammy, to each page. As I tell all who have websites. Register your site at dmoz.com. It is free and takes upwards of a year to get listed. Register at yahoo web directory if you wish. It is 299 per year, but helps your yahoo rankings and google as well. Hook up with other contractors in your area that are not competitors and swap backlinks. You can also ask suppliers to give you a back link on their site. They are selling you stuff, there is no reason they cannot give you a backlink. sign up for google webmaster tools. Use it, learn it, love it. Good luck JJ Last edited by Aiken Colon; 11-09-2008 at 12:52 PM. |

Re: Website Is Up And Running
Header tags are ways to give your content organization.
You use it like this <h1>Main Subject</h1>. <h2>Subtopic</h2> <h3>Sub-Subtopic</h3> This lets people and search engines know what your page is about and how the page is organized. Make sense? |
