If i could make a couple of simple suggestions.
1. In the blue page title bar at the top of your website take out the word Morgan and replace it with Tennessee.
2.Painting, Contractor, remodeling, remodel, Kitchen, bath, flooring, tile, siding, decks, kitchen remodeling, kitchen remodels, bath remodeling, bath remodels, additions, Tennessee, South Carolina

this is your meta tag and its too long. Focus on 3 words Tenesee.Construction and Remodeling.
3.I know you have a Contact Us page but some people are lazy. Add your phone number at least right under your index... let me tell you a secret. chances are good if you focus on these keywords you will end up on Yahoo's localbusiness results which are first before any postings on yahoo. If you don't have your number listed on the front page it makes it harder to end up there.I have found that when people do a search they sometimes don't even click on a webpage they just pick up the phone and start calling down that list.

You are not kidding about having the phone number in a global type header. We redid our site a few weeks back and forgot to put back in the image with the phone number in it. Our calls dropped to 5 in a week from 100.

We have a contact us page also. The next week after putting the number back up in the global header our calls came back in.

Re: Website

NO, that coupon thing sounds very fishy to me. It’s like you will take a look at me and decide how much to discount? I would feel more comfortable to know the discount up front if I am let’s say over 62 or something…

Also, some of the images show up different sizes on the same page, the text goes all the way to the pictures, and overall it does not look professional. Sorry, but that’s my designer’s opinion. If you want to get paid more, I believe your web presentation is everything these days...

But, you definitely do beautiful work! I love what I see on those pictures!

Re: Website

Yeah the coupon is getting an upgrade. I get discounts from several suppliers so when I get a good one I'll let the customer reap the rewards instead of me. I was trying to say that on the site but it didnt come out right. We didnt notice the words close to the pics, good call. It will be fixed on the new site. Also my name is loooong. So I'm checking into others. mcrhomepros.com, mcrpros.com, mcrrenovations.com, morganremodeling.net, mcrhomemedics.com, are some of the names we are kicking around. I like mcrhomepros.com. what do ya'll think? Thanks again for all the input so far, its really helping with the new site.

DO NOT POST THE NAMES ARE LOOOKING FOR ONLINE ANYWHERE!!!!!!!

Domainers search for posts like this and reg the names to resell to endusers every minute of the day!

Put the names on notepad.
Leave OFF the .com, .net evtensions.
Go to your registrar when you want to buy.
Look around for register domains, and find the drop down menu and select "Bulk Register", or something similar.
C &P your list there and select your extension, then enter any code needed.
Register ALL that are available! There is usually a discount offered too.
Use the shortest one for your site and 301 all the others for SEO purposes.
Examples: Type in A1roofer.com and/or slateroofspecialist.com to see what I mean by type in traffic and SEO.

Give me a call at 804-833-6418 and I will explain in more detail today. Not a sales pitch, just free advice.

Re: Website

Way too long of a URL. Good luck getting people to remember that.

Re: Website

Surprisingly enough a lot of refferals call and say the only reason they remembered the website is because the url is the same as the company name. More and more people I've talked to say they hate shortened or abbreviated names because they cant remember it.

Re: Website

First thing that jumped out at me was the blue text kind of running together. It's the morning and my coffee's caffeine may be playing with my eyes, but the blue body text just runs together. The text color also changes with every page.

I would recommend improving your CSS and consider a subtle background for the text to lay on. That bold text just melds together.

I second having your phone number in your header for every page. This is a must.

Otherwise, the portfolio and write-ups are great. Consider putting some faces in the About Us, too.

If you've got any questions about structuring your HTML and CSS, shoot me a message. I learned it from looking at the source of good looking webpages and then using w3schools.com for learning what everything means.

Re: Website

In my opinion, a wordpress site is the best way to get noticed online, gives you built in SEO, and the CMS allows you to add pages in the form of a blog so you can write about your industry, your projects, your city/area or anything else relevant to helping to get you ranked on the search engines.

I built my site and reached to top page in google under "raleigh fence" in only 2mos along with a PR3 (page rank), and an Alexa ranking in the top 900k of all sites worldwide, all in less than 2mos.

It is worth the added cost to have one professionally designed too. And I actually enjoy the blogging so much, I blog on 3 other sites and am in the process of building a blog network site as well.

Depending on who your host is, you can add wordpress and a blog to most existing sites.

Nice site...I like the simplicity.

That first pic you have I would take at ground level with a side angle lens, would give the house more grandeur.
