When you get going, remember that while you may achieve some initial success, the real results come with patience and continuity -- Your blog entries and SEO communications initaitves may, at first, seem to be very slow in generating results. The good news is this stuff doesn't require much if any money, and the time (generally) you use for it is soft after hours or quiet moments.
You also are in an enviable position compared to people in other industries/sectors. Few contractors are doing this stuff right, especially within local markets, so you don't need to be that great at the process to achieve really good results.
