Re: Vote On The Name Of My Contracting Company...

You smoking your flip flops? The word "flops" or "flop" doesn't belong in any company name, simple as that, unless your business plan includes failure as a stated goal. Regardless of your choice of footwear, a tradesman or businessman wearing flip-flops is generally regarded as non-professional, unless you happen to operate in the Keys. Those are my opinions, anyhow. Best of luck with it. I think you made a super-bad choice.

Even more reason not to use a name with "flop" in it. I'd have a hard time even suggesting something, because I don't know what it is you do, in particular. "Supreme Properties", "Superior Real Estate Investments". Heck, I don't know.

Flip means temporary and unstable.

Flop means a distaster that has happened or will happen.

Together it is a loose, unstable shoe that only works above the water and can be removed easily because it is nor necessary.

The name sucks, how about "South Central Properties" the best for you.

Re: Vote On The Name Of My Contracting Company...

I voted that it sucks.....sorry pal.

When I see the name "flip" in a company name......I envision hacks on those house flipping shows who outsource workers from the bottom of the barrell to save money with no concern for quality. But if thats the market your aiming to attract then go for it.

Your better off with a name like FFF construction services.....or FF remodeling.

I know you been taking hits on your decision of company here but how much time did you actually spend thinking about it? When I first read your original post, I didn't think it was serious, until I saw that you already had a web site. Do you really think your company name suggests professionalism? IMO I'd go with something without flip-flops in it. I would hope you don't wear them while you're renovating.

You had a statement on your site that said something like you make suggestions as you go along with the project, and the customer may do the same, causes me to believe that you really are a rookie. That makes me think you start a project without a clue and wing it as you go.

By the way, why do you have a picture of a medicine cabinet with the caption "vanity"?

FWIW, Wrong choice of company name unless it's a shoe company.

Freind.... there's really nothing clever about it. It's terrible. Nobody associates flip flops with ANYTHING to do with construction. Might as well call it I wear ballet shoes construction, LLC. It's just idiotic.

You asked. You aren't going to get any sugar coated answers here. Sorry.
