Video Marketing

We have been slowing working on building a series of promos on our YouTube Channel.

We recently just uploaded a new video to our Facebook page.

We try to keep our plugs short ( under 30 seconds ).

Do you think video marketing works ?

Your thoughts, advice ........... etc

Re: Video Marketing

They look good! I think it is another free way to market.
They show up in Google Searches, they add a face to your company and pools are great to see. Great way to show before and afters, and the equipment you use.
Customer Testamonials are great too.

Re: Video Marketing

I wouldn't add "rocking" music. Maybe neutral music, but nothing too strong.

Thanks MagicPool.
You can also link your Youtube account to your Twitter account. After I read your last post I went to your Youtube channel and subscribed to it. When I did that it show's up on My Twitter Page. Which can hopefully boost visitors and popularity for both of us and anyone else that is connected to us on Youtube and Twitter.

Re: Video Marketing

If one has a friend that has good pipes for the radio, I would ask them to do the voice-over. Someone else has a video on their company (a good idea), but his voice is one of a younger guy which I think actually hinders. If you want to do the voice-over yourself, practice and record your voice over the cell phone voice memo thing.

That stuff isn't as easy as it sounds. It's hard enough to have a professional sounding answering machine...

I agree, especially since you're in FL. I myself love rock, but considering the demographics and your busienss model, it's not a good choice.

Very nice.
During the fall, when things slow down we got to hook up at Dixie Crossroads.

I made a " Google Video Today " - and I took the advice of CBS - LOL

Re: Video Marketing

Video Marketing is great if it is done right. Something to keep in mind while doing video marketing that will help your videos is effective. KEYWORDS! Having your keywords in the right place is very important.

Finding your keywords: Go to https:// adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

For example I went to Google keyword tool and did a keyword search for “pool cleaning services” I found that 8,100 searches for that keyword term last month. However I did find that “swimming pool maintenance” brought in 27,100 local searches for last month. So it is safe to say that “swimming pool maintenance” will bring me more volume.
Now that you can establish a good keyword or keywords to use for your videos, you can add them to the video name, title and description. In the video name, title and description you should add your location this will keep you in your desired area. This will allow Google to post them on the search pages.

Example:
File name: swimming_pool_maintenance_orlando_florida.avi
Title: Swimming Pool Maintenance in Orlando Florida
Description: add the title term in the description to

Note: Always add a clear and easy way for customers to contact you.

I hope this helps!

Re: Video Marketing

Thanks for the advice, I am just getting my feet wet with youtube promotion also.

Here is my latest from animoto.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_Ihdl5OBjA

Has anyone tried tubemogul, moretubeviews.com, or tubereach? Or have any knowledge if these things are worth the effort?

I also read something interesting about finding related videos with high veiw counts, which use the same keywords and or similar subjects as you are going for and then posting a comment and a link you your video. This will put you in the related video column, or so they say. I did read this on the internet so I'm pretty sure it's true.

Anyone have any experience trying something like that?

Re: Video Marketing

funny this was just bumped. I just made my first video an hour ago with animoto. With the conversion to youtube all the pics ended up looking soft. Probably have to pay for the higher res version. But it was very easy to do and free.

Re: Video Marketing

You need to expect that people are going to watch your videos because they want to get something out of it. Maybe their wanting to do the same thing. Make sure to add much about past experiences that have gone wrong
