Vehicle Signage

I am starting to look into options for signs on the trucks/trailer. Looking for good pricing and ideas from those who are past this step.
What would you do and not do? Things to think about….

Rob, that is a great sign. The silhouette of the lady laying on her side rocks literally....

Get your phone number and Website on there too....
Keep it high on the trailer and do one on the front and back for when driving and parked, I have done just one back door as the hardware realy chops it up. Contrast with you vehicle color or put a secondary color behind it only slighly larger to high light it (white backer) I did this on the dark tint of my backwindows as our logo is dark, to contrast with the white vehicles and trailers.
Yours looks good really, and easy to read........

Re: Vehicle Signage

I like images of what people do. A good sign company can print you full color images. My trailer has a actual replacement window mounted on the side of it.....no guessing at what I do.

Focus more on what you can do than who you are. Look at most trucks/trailers they are 60+% company name and phone number.......great, what do they do? or what will they do for me?

Sit in a Home Creapo parking lot and look at signage and ask yourself what do these people do. *** Contracting, um should I call them for my kitchen?, how about my deck?, do they do roofs?

BTW, nice logo

Ok wise guy, walk outside of your igloo and ask 10 people what a deckscape is.

Does he offer the low voltage lighting?

Does he resurface decks?

Does he offer patio solutions?

Does he offer sunrooms?

We pronounce it spell it Igloo here....and enunciate Eeglue

Your right, but again. A deck would make an impession bolted to the side of the trailer or in vinyl would work aswell.

I have a design for a "deck trailer" but the project will not happen for another year. Yes, it will have decking on it and railings.

In the bed of my pickup truck I have a deck and railing full size sample. Because it sits so low you can't see the deck part and it looks more like fence. So far a bunch of people have told me "boy that is a nice looking fence, how much does it cost?" I need to have my sign guy make up a sign.

So it's Igloo and not igloo? I have a home, not a Home. Do people live in apartments or Apartments?

We had one like that for hauling bails and live stock. Never got any calls to install decks must have been the barn red color. Or maybe the fact that a hoist was visible. Could have used a set of stairs as I recall...

Re: Vehicle Signage

on the van I drive...
I use magnetic signs...
they are huge & cost more than a stencil job.....

the only reason I do so...
is so I may peel them off & go to my twon dump...
as they don't allow company trucks...
otherwise I have to put my household trash & junk in my car to go to the dump....

Re: Vehicle Signage

Magnetic are better if you have a homeowners association
they are nazis and eventually will fine you for having a "commercial vehicle"

Re: Vehicle Signage

I had magnetic some years ago, someone was always moving then around the van, putting them on upside down sticking them to cars parked beside me.......I sometimes miss those days. I did it to the culpurits van too..... never did figure out who messed with the passenger mirror...

Re: Vehicle Signage

This is what I was talking about with the window mounted on the side. For some reason the image looks like garbage when I re-sized it so this site would up load it.

Re: Vehicle Signage

Thanks for the ideas. I only attached the logo becuase it was easy. We will for sure add what we do and the phone and www to it. Thanks for the reminder about CCB.
We also advertise on the radio and in a high end mag. So I am really looking forward to getting it on the turcks and trailers. Was also planning on putting it on the wife's suburban, she drives a lot.

We build, remodel and refinish decks, so our tag line is Total Deck Solutions.

After that, we will be whipping the website into shape.

In the states we call the double hung (vertical slider).
web-site= 2 of them, they need work.
showroom=no I have been looking for a larger space so I can increase office size and have a small showroom. The only place that I liked has been bought up by Blowes for a future store.

Can you quess what color my site signs are?

Re: Vehicle Signage

Why wouldn't you WRAP your truck ... or trailer.

It looks hot - you don't need to worry about things getting ripped off ... you can change your marketing message whenever you want ... and best of all it PROTECTS the paint of the vehicle.

That's a wrapped 'warehouse' on wheels. Do that with set pricing and turn your senior roofer (technician) into an estimator.

JUST JOB COST!

Parker, how much did your wrap job cost?

Can they change something like your phone number without redoing the whole thing?

13 states in 4 months, we move quick! WE now offer driveway sealing and about any other project that we get a deposit and srew on the people. (post like these are why I don't use my real name here)

Lawndart had a thread the other day on 800#'s, so I am going to change the number on the trailer to a 800 easy to remember #. I also have an easy to remember web-site that will go on the trailer.
