Stay The Course On Your Marketing!

This pass week has seen alot of bad news about GM all the gas prices food prices going up and a ton of lay offs.

It's important that you stay the course on your marketing plan. You may need to tweak here and there and the most important is make sure you know what is working for you.

I have made several changes in our marketing over the past 2 months because prices are changing big time. Prices are coming down in the radio and TV and newpaper markets. Do not be afraid to ask for a lesser price.

Gas prices and the real estate market is helping our business right now because clients are not going to move and they are staying home more. So we see a trend it fixing up there existing home.

So we have changed all our advertising to meet those demands. So far it seems to be paying off for us. Our sales are going up everyday and we should end up with a good year.

Just think about your business and do not be afraid to change things up a bit when it come to your marketing plan.

I always look at things after the first half of the year. Make the changes to carry us into summer[non season]. Or look at what your market is telling you. Talk to all your sales team to get the message on what's going on in your marketplace. Good Luck

Re: Stay The Course On Your Marketing!

Excellent post.

Something that I would recommend for those of you who:
have been in biz a while
are real slow

I'd recommend going back to those clients you serviced 1-2+ years ago and giving them a free evaluation.

Again, focusing on:
HO = keeping their house; not flipping
HO = reducing the overheads of maintaining the home
HO = extending out lives of appliances and or systems of the home
Commercial = reducing the overheads of maintaining the building
Commercial = increasing the profit margin (aka keeping tenants longer)

Focus the marketing along those lines.
