Slowing Dooowwwnnnn.. Whats Next?

I'm either experiencing slow down due to this great market right now or I'm ready to grow. I'm just not moving right now. I've got work, but I think I can take on more. When did you you know it was time to hire more people? I've got three now, a painter, a carpenter, a laborer and me. Our system has been working well, but lately I've noticed I am doing about 5 peoples jobs. I know, Iknow, welcome to being self employed. I know either another helper on the job or a salesman/estimator would be a great help. My question is which one first. I'm leaning towards the salesman. Give them a little hourly pay and a percent of any work they bring in, hope he covers us up and hire people as needed. Sound good?

Just keep plowing forward and find a great sales person and stay buried.

You will no when to hire and just run it tight for now. Good luck!

I've started bidding and getting only jobs I like doing, instead of doing everything. I'm trying not to get burnt out wearing all these hats. I'm starting to hate being the salesman though. I seem to push a little harder to get the job and its turning the prospective client off. Maybe I seem desperate. So a salesman it is.
