Shop Supply Fee
do any of you charge a shop/supply fee to your jobs for normal everyday use items. Or do you just add them in for specific jobs. I ask this because normally i just do it per job but i was thinking that it may be easier charging a percentage of the materials price. I just thought of this because i got a bill from a mechanic and they charge a 6% for shop supplies with a max amount if it is a large bill. what do you do or think on doing it like this

Re: Shop Supply Fee
It's part of overhead. You can show it or not show it, but it's coming out of your pocket one way or another.
I think the only upcharge clients won't object to right now is a fuel surcharge. Everybody understands what's going on at the gas pumps. |
