Service Magic's New Service

Service Magic is working on a new service to offer their members. I do not know all the details but I am trying to be a beta tester of this service. It is an answering service.

Basically they are setting the lead appointments for you for an additional fee per month, speculated at $50-$75 a month. I am curious to see if it is a full service answering service where I could forward my calls (If I wanted) or if they are basically copying the Quality Smith business model of selling confirmed appointments instead of bull crap leads.

Thoughts?

I will buy ALL the confirmed appointments I can get my hands on. My biggest problem with Servic magic leads is that I have a damned hard time making that first contact to actually get an appointment. If it's only costing an extra $75 per month and I do 25% closing I will increase my spend target and recant everythign I have said about them selling P.O.S. leads.

That would be great if they were confirmed appointments.

Kinda curious bout it myself ... I just dropped them a month ago for the same reason everyone and mother has ... bogus leads and no contacts ... Please keep us posted .... it's about time they take that stolen cash and invest it to improve their name among us tradesmen.

Re: Service Magic's New Service

Years of horror stories with Service Magic. We must be gluttons for punishment. Few leads at $50 a pop get us an appointment. We have had a lead tell us we were number 23 who called. We were to told only three contractors received lead information. Even with the wrong information or no contact to the potential customer you will be charged. The new system is even worst. The digital reading of the lead is next to impossible to decipher even on the second and third listen. Address digits are repeated.

Hey Grumpy,

If you go to 1800Contractor, look up your company and call the number that is there. You might be surprised who is on the other end of the line. The answer will be something like, "Hello. This is Grumpy Contracting, a Service Magic company. How may I help you?"

And I love your website, too. I called, but I've never been able to talk to anyone at the company, because Service Magic would not give away your phone #. All your business goes through them. They sell you the leads of somebody who was trying to reach you on their own and then send that lead to 4 other contractors. 4 days later they sell that lead at their discount leads website. Why? You got fooled!

sm share the leads to 5 to 6 website time 4 contractors per site
