Ratio Of Sales:Employees

If you're doing kitchen and bath renovations and have say 1 foreman, and 1 carpenter helping him, how many hours would the average salesman have to spend selling in order to keep both of them busy continuously for 40 hours a week?

Is there a common ratio of sales hours to working hours?

There is no common ratio that I know of.

Depends on the the size of the jobs you are doing. If you are doing big jobs that run for 4 weeks it's a lot different then if you are doing small jobs that run 3 days.

Depends on the amount of leads you have coming in and how long it takes per lead.

If you have enough leads coming in to keep a salesman busy 8 hours a day, I guessing that he would be selling way more jobs then a two man crew could keep up with.

Dunno about an average salesman, but a good salesman could work a couple hours a week and keep a 2 man crew busy.

A two man crew can not afford a good salesman in most cases. But then he is a good salesman and who cares what the overhead is....
