Re: Price Is Not Negotiable
i was going to for awhile, but who wouldn't stand up for themselves? I am not interested in if I upset someone or didn't. ASK for the sale came in here and had his posts edited due to coming in here looking to argue childishly & tell me what league he claims to be in, yet offers very little to any insight. JUST personal attacks. It is completely absurd. I will shut down this topic and not post anymore in this thread. It has just became a personal attack. I wonder if you can understand the topic

Matter of fact, your aviator reminds me of just that. Are you Michael Moore? The post did not have “YOUR” name in it did it? It was an “insightful” observation as to how good consultants should strive to be in teaching anyone how to achieve top level status. Take your insecure/egomaniac mind and leave. Any professional maturity you could have ever built here has long been forever tarnished. You are clueless. |

Re: Price Is Not Negotiable
All I did was make a statement that their are great contributors on these forums to choose from and that the best advice I have ever found has been from working contractors with similar experiences.
You took that as a personal attack and it wasn't; it was just a blanket statement and my opinion, one that worked for me as I stated. You threw the first insult, not me! I see a lot of contractors getting ripped off by vultures out there like Service Magic just to name one. Some guys are having a hard time right now and others are taking advantage of that. I only suggested that a person can get great advice for free on line if your a careful reader. Your suggestions are that they should be afraid and let you do all the thinking; I smell a rat!

Re: Price Is Not Negotiable
If anyone in here does not want to read what someone writes about the supposed topic and the changes in topic direction, you can place the other poster on your Ignore List and not have to feel so violated.
Too bad too. I thought this topic had a chance to get on track. Grow up and allow other people to have opinions, without belittling each other, otherwise a valid subject will wind up getting locked. It's probably run it's creative course anyways. Ed

Re: Price Is Not Negotiable
Negotiating scenario EX:
Illegal alien roofers let go from new home construction looking to make a quick buck advertise in Hurricane Ike area they can put on a roof for $190 per square all over Craigslist and flyers passed out. This depresses the price in a gold mind area for legit contractors to make good money for a year. Real roofers know it is minimum $325 + depending on the job. Average roof of 30 squares makes it a minimum starting difference of $9,750 compared to $5,700, a $4,050 savings/difference, and a depressed economy to fuel the fire and temptation to save. This is a 41.5% savings the homeowner has staring them in the face. This makes the legit contractors look like rip-off artists to the homeowners, being they are clueless concerning what it takes to run a legit business, and explaining such to them glasses their eyes in 10 seconds. How would a consultant advise a legit contractor to overcome this HUGE obstacle? How far must he “negotiate” down in price to obtain the job, keep the doors open and achieve a profit being he will be confronted with this on 80% of his calls, if not more? I shall await my free consultation and cherish the education I receive. |
