Re: Post Your Twitter Names/urls

Twitter has become big with writers, esp business, marketing, sales ect. They can put little inspirational thoughts and such and loyal readers can eat it up. I'm not sure how it would relate to our business. I feel like facebook is a stretch but nowadays people are trying to do everything to be everywhere, so enter twitter. You know just in case your thought is to short for your blog, and you don't feel like updating your facebook page, and need to let your customers know that you have to take a dump.

By the way my blog goes live tonight. I do know about Twitter, but I'm making a venture into a blog that I hope will help me get traffic to my site.
Everything I'm doing right now is an experiment.
You can try using twitter, facebook, linkedin to build a network of people in your industry who might want to view your website and blog. Whenever you update your blog, make a post in twitter, facebook, linkedin that you've posted a new blog article. You'll be advertising to people who've already chosen are worthy of networking with and might care about what new things you have to say. That is just one idea of networking and how to get more people to your site. If the people who are networking view your site and like what you have to say, they might write a blog post on their own site linking to your article which will get more visitors to your site.

Twitter is a very simple tool for networking, but I am not sure it will help the construction industry just yet. But something may be on the way...

*** Tweet *** okay I looked out the window, it's getting dark, I'll post back at my next exciting thing I am going to do

*** Tweet out***

*** Tweet *** okay I'm back, I stared at my computer for about 15 seconds hoping for an answer to appear as to why I'm not understanding the importance of this

*** Tweet*** I looked down at the floor for a second, then I looked at the clock, I'm now looking at the computer again...
You forgot to say "Tweet Tweet Out"

You are over by 93 characters w/ spaces.

See post title cause this site won't let me post the URL

Twitter is great for finding links to all sorts of information. that's what I'm using it for and I've been very happy with it. And if you install "tweetdeck" it makes it very easy to follow

Sure instead of doing a job log - you have your guys do a twitter log
1st nail in
2nd nail in
ouch smashed thumb - must remember to not twit while hammering

Seriously though about a month or so, someone had posted an article about using a similar service called fliker to keep the HO's informed - post a pic & quick caption for stuff done during the day & as the day progresses

Twitter is text only - so pretty much useless IMHO

Re: Post Your Twitter Names/urls

Posting your link has no affect on Google rankings by itself since twitter uses the NoFollow tag. http://www.marketingpilgrim.com/2008...-nofollow.html

Post links to your site on twitter all you want, that alone doesn't help your SEO. What will help your SEO is other people being notified of your updates, they check out your updates, and they possibly create their own update citing your website. THAT will help your SEO in the greatest possible way... creating links to your website. The more the better. Your focus now shifts to creating content that others would like to link to.

Re: Post Your Twitter Names/urls

Their are many people promoting Businesses on Twitter,no penalty AW Smith.I am not a mad spamer, that would lead to a ban I would guess.I am very new to twitter, time well tell.

We might not be into it but you can bet with the number of users our customers are there.

Re: Post Your Twitter Names/urls

Twitter ID is Publisher10.

Do I do this much? Since great marketing is other-centered, it is hard to see why people would really care to read self-oriented twits.

But this stuff has a place if you are connecting with (mostly) younger people who live with their mobile devices.

Just twitted about this posting, of course.

Back in my day, they called that stalking. And it usually resulted in a restraining order.
