Use regular html code and link to pictures either on your own site or get a photobucket account and link to those.

Don't feel too bad Susan, we had trouble too. Finally just had our web designer (dad) do it from NY.

Chances are if your images are on Craigslist, they'll probably end up being on other contractors' sites as well.

And if you are going to post pictures there, you should really get a third party picture sharing site, like photobucket or flickr. If you post pictures from your own site, it's just going to eat up a bunch of bandwith.

I have unlimited bandwidth, so that's not an issue.

And I'm watermarking everything from now on. You should take a look at this program, Matt, it's easy to use. Go to download.com and look for Watermark Creator Home Edition. It's free to try, I think $30 to buy. Try it and see what you think. If that doesn't solve your image theft problem, I don't know what will.

That looks like a standard image tag. I wasn't able to get it to work last time I tried. I'll try again.

Re: Pictures On Craigslist - How To Do It?

I would go one step further and link the picture to your gallery/portfolio page.

Use <a href="page.com"> and then target the picture link. As noted above.

So:

Code:
<a href="http://www.yoursite.com/portfolio.html"><img src="images/picture.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="put text here that tells what the picture is about so search engines can read it">
P.S. Now this thread is really starting to look like it belongs in the "Technology" section.

I don't like that idea cus I think watermarking takes away from the asthetics of the picture. They're really quite annoying.
I really don't care if someone steals my images. It doesn't hurt me any.
I take it as a compliment. They see my business as a model and try their best to sculpt their clay to the likes of my masterpiece.

If you really want to watermark your images you can use photoshop and some opacity tweaking.
Heck, if you get the right color text you can even use MS Paint to watermark your images.

Me no like watermarks or useless applications you have to download.

Me only downloads are for custom home blueprints for bathroom tile designs. White Man build 'em big!
