Online Video Marketing?

I'm currently working on a online video ( youtube ) clip to promote my business. How many of you done this sort of marketing?

I'm at the final stages of the video, only thing left is optimizing the tags, header tags, keywords and so on.

What are your thoughts?

Add servicemagic, yellowpages, and other popular sites otherwise you might be better off using tags like "punch" or "kicked in the nuts" to get traffic, I don't think their are many people looking up paint or remodeling on youtube........I could be wrong.

Re: Online Video Marketing?

Starting now with your video marketing is a very smart move. Youtube has more daily searches than Yahoo. The traffic may be different, but with the kind of volume Youtube has you know there are going to be legitimate customers in the mix.

There are companies that specialize in marketing videos so adding tags and such is really just the beginning, but for an emerging market it may be enough for now.

Good job getting ahead of the curve on this one. By the time it becomes very popular for your industry you will be far ahead of the competition.

Keep in mind that if you're thinking of utilizing a video as an attachment and sending it to potential customers, as a good idea as I think that would be as opposed to your ordinary email,....Alot of people (myself included) are very weary to open, if at all any emails I receive from strangers when there's a photo or attachment in fear of viruses or worms.

Just my 2 cents.

-Good luck with it

Re: Online Video Marketing?

Video is a great idea, and it could be posted in high traffic sites like youtube for free, especially if you already have the video made.

It's more likely you'll have potential clients sent to see your video than people seeing your video and becoming clients.

Video is always a great way to tell folks about a service, "watch us on youtube!" is almost like saying check out our TV commercials.

I still wonder about what keywords are best, Hi traffic non related keywords or highly targeted low traffic ones?

We have our own channel on Youtube and it's working very well for us. we give the potential client a link to our channel http://www.youtube.com/user/FWDremodel and let them look at our work.

Re: Online Video Marketing?

We just created a youtube channel as well. When you say that you "optimized" them for search -- you think you could link some of that info for me or others reading?

We are brand new to the youtube thing, and thus we are unfindable in most searches!
