One Call Close

Do you sell the job on the first call or do you setup appointment for a return call to present the offer. I usually try to sell smaller jobs on the spot and set up return appointments for the larger or more complex jobs. Just wondering what every one else is doing.

also do you find you have a better close rate one the first call or if you return.

Re: One Call Close

always looking for the one call close, however sometimes on the design sale i will close with them on a contingent that we come in around the budgeted price that i qouted or at least have them sign something to let me move forward taking everyone else out of the equation i will not waste my time drawing up details and plans just to have someone else use them

Re: One Call Close

I don't believe in the one call close system. Sure you want too try to close on the first sale, but I don't pressure my customers. I might ask a few times and try to get to the root of why they are saying No, but I never make them feel uncomfortable. I never pressure them. Do I sell on the first sitting? Yes, sometimes, but not often. I do most of my sales on the follow up. I repeatedly call back my customers from time to time asking if they have any questions or have come to any decisions.

Honestly I don't like hiring "closers" they will do anything to close the sale then leave me with cleaning up the mess. They promise what can't be delivered. Not to mention that they tarnish my company's reputation with the peope they don't close... nobody likes a car salesman.
