Is this the starting point or the finished product?

There is NO written content...

Can you tell us more about your background, target market, and goals for your site?

What you have is clean. But that's about all you can say about it. You don't have anything to index with the search engines, and very little to sell your visitors on contacting you--outside of your portfolio.

This would be a great supplement to a link from craigslist household service potings.

Re: New Web Site Up

Personally, I'd want to hire painter, not an outdoorsman.

Hobbies and family are fine and all, but do you want to give a prospective client the impression you won't show up if the weather is fine or it's the first day of hunting season?

Re: New Web Site Up

Are you using this to generate new business or just to have an online presence?
If it is just for a "presence", I love the simple approach for your regular customers that are already looking for you!
If you want customers, this isn't doing it. I still love the simplicity and "awe shucks" feel of it, but it needs more substance to get prospects to use you!
I think you need a Home page that offers more "detail" about your painting company.
I'm sure there are a million things that should or could be done, but for me, just some detail about why I should hire you as opposed to Certa.
Add 1 more page and it would be enough for me, but, maybe a form to your contact page with Name & email address so you can build your database.
The other thing that I think is cool, there is nothing to do, the entire page is right in front of you, no scrolling. Sometimes we "over info" our customers to death.
Who knows, I really like all of the info on Mike Finley's website, I mean, you can spend a ton of time there and get a ton of info.
It really depends on what you are after, it looks to me like you just want someone to call "you" and then you can sell them. Where Mike's site mostly pre-qual's someone and if they still call him, he has a great shot at making a deal.

Seems more like a myspace page than a company website.

Pretty basic. Consider adding meta-keywords and a meta-description to the source of the page. You currently have none which may make it harder for search engines to find you.
