New Ways To Market

http://www.onpoint-marketing.com/stealth-marketing.htm

Look at some of the terms on the right side of the page, still scratching my head.

Re: New Ways To Market

At one point in late '04 through mid '05, another similar service paid me 5 bucks a pop to work in certain plugs into forum site posts. I suspect it goes on right here at CT every day. Several months ago, I did a veiled inquiry here at CT to see if anyone was doing that (any of the members), but people posted joke responses.

EDIT.. it wasn't here at CT I asked. It was here: http://forums.mikeholt.com/showthrea...=manufacturers

Actually I could be an undercover agent for the marketing company I think that is on their list.

So how much money did you make MD?

Not enough to get excited about. Just mostly wanted to see what the scam was all about. Kind of a pain, because you had to (at that time) e-mail a link to every location where you did your thing, so you could get your measly 5 bucks credit.

Re: New Ways To Market

Excerpt from the stealth marketing blurb:

"Undercover marketing tactics can be varied. Some examples include the hiring of models to be seen drinking a particular new beverage at a bar, or using "tourists" to ask someone to take their picture, and then explaining the benefits of the new camera they are using."

That's pretty funny, when you think about it. Some perfectly nice people agree to take your picture, and you unleash a sale on them. It's a cruel world.
