I'd say these pic's have some good potential advertising for the before and after of your remodeling business.

Wow, now you HAVE to post pics of the space when you're done. Can't wait to see the changes.

Way to go Rory.

I know you were looking for some space, this looks like it could work out well, as long as you can get some foot traffic to it!

Matt

This is has to be the second or third busiest street in DC. Its on Rhode Island ave about 5-6 blocks from the only home depot in the city. We are on the NE side where the home values are in lower to moderate range. Foot traffice is ok but Car traffic is none stop all day with 3 stoplights with in 300 feet of the store. Perfect for flyers and weekend promotions

Re: New Showroom Spot

I'd be interested to see some pics of the street, so that we can see how the storefront is going to look within its setting.

Yeah, I want one with you standing outside the store like those old time pics of stores with the owner, posing in front of the hitching rails. You could take it in sepia too.

Seriously though, as you already know the most important thing about any store is its location, and I was just interested to see what the surrounding area, neighbouring stores looked like.

Re: New Showroom Spot

I'm curious about what a 500 sq/ft storefront like that generally runs in DC? Not necessarily what your rent is, but generally what does a space like that go for? For comparison, storefronts like that, in my area, assuming they have heat, a/c, and no off street parking go for about 80 cents to 1 dollar a square foot with tenant paying utilities.

Re: New Showroom Spot

This one is 1.50 per sqft. The area is decent the hookers don't come out till around 10pm. This is a incredible bargain. Commercial prices here are probably only below Newyork and LA

The street traffic is incredible. My white truck is parked at the light. We thought out door displays and flyers would work well on the weekends.

Re: New Showroom Spot

It looks good. What have you got in mind to make your place stand out, so it catches the eye of passing motorists?

John

One hell of a paint job on the building that has to be approved by the landlord, A nice sign on the wall to the left hopefully with lighting and a nice sidewalk setting on the weekends and handing out flyers
