New Logo
So I am just coming up on my one year anniversary being on my own.
After contacting the person that did the first one. I explained what I was looking for. She sent me this sketch today of the new one. Just wanted to share, because I really like the new one. Cole http://limerosestudio.com/temp/ccc-sketch.jpg |

Re: New Logo
That's very attractive. Anytime I have designed logos, I have made them simple designs. In the long run simple is best, they cost less because there is less detail for designers or artists to duplicate.

Re: New Logo
I should have said this is the large version one for the side of the trailers and trucks. She is makeing a less detailed version for business cards and letter heads. The spelled out portion at the bottum might be wood burned in. For the old sign look.
I found with the last one when shrunk down it the detal was lost and distorted the colors. Here is a the full size old logo to see the detail. Thanks for the input guys! Cole

Re: New LogoQuote:
That logo doesn't say woodworking to me. How often do you use wrenches in siding, windows & doors? The initial sketch from the first post was on the right track. But it went wrong somewhere. It looks good. But it doesn't meet the goal. If you were a car mechanic, it would be a great logo.

Re: New LogoQuote:
The wrench one is the old one that I am replacing. It was from when I had my side biz while doing construction for my Dad's company. I went on my own last year and want a new logo wich is in the OP. That would convay wood in it. I would like to get a shop going when the time is right and do custom wood working like the new logo is suggesting. In the mean time I am mainly doing siding and windows as I have a break and all of the other tools for installing these materials. Then down the road when I can get the big shop equipment I can do the custom stuff. Cole |

Re: New Logo
I got another version of the logo. I'm not sold on it, the blue print one I think is way better.
http://limerosestudio.com/temp/ccc-effects.jpg How many logo's do you guys have? One for letter heads on for shirts one for trucks etc or one for everything? |

Re: New Logo
I like them both, but look into the cost of printing them on stuff: Envelopes, proposals, letterhead, tee shirts, hats, business cards and vehicles. Based on that, I think you can do better and remember to keep it simple now and it will be cheaper later.

Re: New Logo
Not trying to be mean, or a turd, but I don't really like it.
If you are doing wood working, you want your logo to scream precise work, accurate, level, plumb, something along those lines. To me, that logo looks like it's made of some scrap lumber laying around the garage and then putting your company name on a scrap piece of wood with a soldering iron, attaching with a few broom sticks. |

Re: New Logo
I like them both, I hate trying to figure out a logo. Personally, I have 2 that we use, my avatar is the fun one that we play around with and then I have what I call my "Corporate Logo" for letterhead and stuff.

Re: New Logo
Looks good to me. Just some small things:
- I think the lines (edges) should be perfectly straight, sharp lines - Spelled out names should be in some strong, sharp font also. - Loud & clear! ![]() Getting a new logo is exciting. But I would keep in mind all the things I'd do after that to keep my design inline: - signage: more difficult == cost more $$$ - t-shirt: more color = more $$$ - ect...

Re: New Logo
Cole,
Reading what you do: Siding, Windows and Doors, is this logo for that business? Seems like the name AND log do nothing for your industry. Custom Creations and the would look logo reminded me of cabinet making which is honestly what I though you did until I read your info. |

Re: New Logo
Don't mind me Cole, I started trying to learn some new software yesterday...I was getting bored with the book tutorial, so took a break to mess around with your logo.
