"Lisa Hooker" could be a good business move also.

Re: My New Shirts Arrived!

There's a thread over in the business section about bad company names or something. I looked through it right quick to see if you put my name in there!

I know that, Just didn't quite grasp that a business with the name of a person would keep that name that long.

Re: My New Shirts Arrived!

A little off topic but it reminded me of a framer I used about 20 years ago. His given name was "Brick" (same as the kid on the "Middle" TV show). His dad was a masonry contractor. He had two brothers: Rock and Stone...One sister named Darla (not masonry related that I can figure). I think their last name was Andreson (pronounced like Anderson).

Re: My New Shirts Arrived!

That is a great shirt! I'd franchise those out to American Eagle Outfitters or Hollister... they'd sell like hot cakes.

Re: My New Shirts Arrived!

I dug this old thread out of the vault and I know its 4 years old, but a thread that Jaws started about lettering his truck got me to thinking a little.

I have my trucks lettered, t-shirts made, and job site signs made, not really for advertising but for name recognition.

98% of the Masons around here are drunks, crack heads, or dead beats. And I certainly dont want to be associated with that crowd.

Dad built a very good business, built a good reputation, and I want to try to do my part. And I like to look a professional and legit as I can.

It might not help, but maybe it wont hurt

I had these signs made as a throw back to the stuff Dad did back in the 70's and people seem to like them..

Re: My New Shirts Arrived!

I have cedar signs for new construction as well but don't have pics.

I have some old signs in my shop that just have the company name and either John or Mike Winsborough with Builder underneath. That's how my grandpa rolled for 50 years but his didn't even have a company name his company name was his name, Builder. LOL

My sister-in-law who now works for us full time started adding all these other designations and things we have learned and changed up the format at the same time she made us a website. I think it looks too busy but I really don't care as long as they know who is building the project.
