Get rid of the "Owner" tag. You can NEVER belay a Complaint by saying that you must "check with the Boss"!!

The Title "Owner" on a Business Card is nothing more than EGO run amok!!!

Yep! Malco nailed that one.

I told a homeowner yesterday that I don't think the boss would be interested in fixing his raggedy ass gate. But I would check with him and let him know tomorrow morning what he says.

The yahoo email to me says i started yesterday, no website,

what is all phases of construction?? what do you do?? add a tagline

Not being hard on you. Just pointing it out to you before someone else does.

The logo is nice

I thought that to. The printing company just sent it over to me and that was the first thing I saw.

Larry Winget says...................If you hand out your card and they don't say WOW, that's a nice card than it's not a very effective card. when i look at this card I don't think WOW, nice card. Price was probably right though.

I like the construiction and line drawing of the card - cool. I have to agree on the mention of the yahoo email address. Can you get one attached to your website?

"I'd nix the "owner" title too. I am the owner of my landscape company, but my title is "Landscape Designer"

Ditto to all of the above. General Contractor says you do all phases of Construction.

I have always thought your License # shows you have nothing to hide.

At the risk of sounding like a Commie, I would lose the flag. I could be wrong.

Ditch the cheesy @yahoo.com email address.

Dan@Bock.org/.com/.whatever is more professional.
Good chance to start your website too.

Re: My Business Card. What Do You Think?

great logo, agree with loosing the flag, not for any specific reason, other then it takes your eye off the sweet logo.

Never thought about the owner thing, but agree 100%

annoying email address. I have to change mine too, cause mines also annoying with so many numbers.

AGAIN cool logo!!!! I think with details on what you do, it will just fill up, i like it plain and simple.

Re: My Business Card. What Do You Think?

Looks good to me.

I have no problem with a flag or "owner". In fact owner is nice. Customers love dealing with the owner, who else would they rather deal with, somebody who the buck stops with and can solve their problems or somebody 19 steps removed? If you're the owner, use it to your advantage.

I don't even have a problem with the yahoo email address. The dfod93753020324098 is a bit much, I think you could do better with something easier to type in.

Keep them business cards in perspective, you hand them out to mostly people as a way for them to get away from you. Very little business is signed due to a business card.

Not with business people from Japan, I worked at a place and they "trained" us with the proper etiquette before a big meeting with people from or Japan. You exchanged business cards after meeting, a special way and before stuffing it in your wallet you must read it and it was a good idea to make a comment on something on it. At first I thought it was a little over the top, and was goofing around about it (someone would hand me a document and I'd look it over and compliment the paper), but I did come to appreciate the ceremony to it.

Re: My Business Card. What Do You Think?

A business card is something you lose, or throw away, or file away forever.

A Direct Response business card has an offer, and a call to action, and is something a prospect will USE, not lose.

I like the graphics, it looks good. But why not include an offer (eg. free report on how to avoid going over budget, etc.) and a call to action (eg. Call today to get your free report)? Seriously, why not? I'm asking.

Don't let the fact that you can't think of anything good be the reason why you don't increase the response you get (by a HIGH percentage) from your business card.

Use the back! Be creative! Make your card demonstrate why you are unique.

And tell your prospect what to do next:

Call! Email! Come by the office! Log on!

Huge opportunity. And don't just restrict this to your card, use it everywhere. It is proven to work.

register your domain (bockconstruction.com if available) and forward all domain email to your yahoo account-it's quick and easy and won't hold up the printing process. The email address has got to go though :-)
