Money Making Ideas

Hi everybody, I'm somewhat new to the community as far as participation goes. For the past few months I've been operating a small courier company with myself being the only employee. Because of the nature of my business I am ALWAYS on the road. I thought I might capitalize on this and sell ad space on my pickup truck. Does anybody have any experience selling ad space and what kind of prices can I expect to charge?

Also, in an effort to keep up with demand and keep my customers happy I must soon expand. That means subcontracting with other drivers. If I can get them to agree to place ads on their vehicles what percentage of the ad revenue would be a fair cut for them?

I'd suggest an advertising forum.

Many co.s actually help me with signage and advertising for using their logos on all advertising including my business cards.

I have a money making ideal for a guy in the gc business. Child proofing the inside of home for parents with a new child that can afford it. There is this one guy who has been doing that for 11 years and there is all kinds of stuff on the market i seen him on a cable tv channel. Example installing these one things on the inside of kitchen cabinets. Installing small gate by stairs. Putting these one things on the stove handles. Also securing dressers to the wall so they wont tip over. Also this one thing you put on the windows. He had all kinds of stuff. I was watching thinking that would be easy money for some of you guys.

Now thats a thought. Now I am wondering how much volume might justify an arrangement like that to the suppliers. Hmm

Thank You. That is a freaking great idea. I wish I could offer some tips on flying in return, but I gave that up after 20 hours.

I did a little web searching to see if i could find that guy. Here is what i came up with.

All of the child safety products Jeff demonstrated are available for purchase from:

Safe Beginnings
7 Blueberry Lane
Burlington, MA 01803
800-598-8911
www.safebeginnings.com
Safe Beginnings also provides in-home childproofing consultations.

Also i don't know how your newspaper works where you live. But my Newspaper list all the births at both hopitals once a month. That would be a great place to find new parents.

Rather than charging ad rates... perhaps you work with companies that are related to yours... or at least ones that work with your ideal clients.

Ones that have a lsit of their clients.

They get the ad space on your truck - you get to market your services to their list.

I'm guessing ou'd make more money selling your courier service over ad space... wouldn't you?

Re: Money Making Ideas

just a thought i had a small taxi company once and did a deal with the company that sold the the vehicle, i had one panel with their logo on it and got free servicing for 4 years. That came to a nice sum saved as it was nearly every month i needed one.
