Meet The Experts!!!??

Hello hello !! SO, in about 2 months we are planning to hold a MEET THE EXPERTS kind of bbq/festival type of event at our building, probably both inside our show room and outside in our large parking lot. We are looking to attract both old and new costumers and thier families to meet a few of our venders hopefully! Has anyone done this type of thing? And has anyone had any success with this type of event, any advice would be appreciated?

Re: Meet The Experts!!!??

Dear marketing queen, the only thing you need to worry about is getting your new and existing clients there.

Get with your suppliers and your local radio station and give a free kitchen away. The uglest kitchen award will be given away at your party with a live on site radio remote.

The contestents have to send photos of there existing kitchen and you and the radio station bring it down to 5 finalist. Then the winner is picked at your event and when the kitchen is complete the radio disk jockeys cook breakfast for the family and you.

You will end up with a ton of leads. You will get a ton of traffic to your event.

You can pick any type of product to give away but kitchens are the best.

Also try to hire the local boy scout troop to help so you can get more free publicty. Plus makes you look good in the communty. Give them a donation.

Just my advise and 2 cents. Good luck

I am our only marketing person ... just trying to get some helpful tips or ideas from some people who have done this type of thing before, or have some more experience then me. Being that I have never done it before ... I thought that was the purpose of the marketing section of this board.

I always wanted to set up a free amusement rides and free food for the families. One of the largest furniture stores in the country has a free amusement park. Can't think of the name. I suppose you have to go through their store to get into the park.

"If you are going to do it, spend a few fungolas and do it right!"

At least, make it look like a fun event with baloons, free music, and a live band.

Go with the advice Carport King gave you. You've got to give them a good reason to get off the couch and come to your place.
Good Luck,
