Marketing Tips In A Metropolitan Area?
I just started up a business in the DC/Northern Virginia metropolitan area and was just wondering what type of marketing could give me the best bang for my buck. I've started using service magic and plan to use other internet leads. Tell me your thoughts.

Re: Marketing Tips In A Metropolitan Area?
I wouldn't rely on internet leads alone.
I'd spread out your marketing a bit. Some print ads and direct mail will yield results. Church bulletins and postcard mailers are good, if done consistently. Different methods work differently for different contractors. You'll need to test the waters a bit to find out what works best for you. Remember, it's all about branding your image, name and number in the minds of potential customers. Sell your benefits. What makes you stand out from the rest of the crowd. Now's a good time to advertise, cus most contractors have cut back a bit. Keep in front of the customer. And dominate your market.

You can try yodle.com. They manage Internet advertising and it has brought me in some business. It works like a pay per click or google's add word with less effort. Also you can try to get on Angies's list

I kn ow the best source for generating leads is canvassing. No other form of marketing can give you better results. Trust me on this, I have gone up against evry type of lead source and put them to shame with canvassing.
If you are going to use internet lead service, stay away from service magic. Just read the threads from this. |

i would have to agree with wpc on this. were still kicking strong with canvassing and making sales everyday.
also i sure hope you know how to close the sale once you get the lead. don't be an order taker or you will be just wasteing money imo! |
