Re: Marketing To Industry

Hard to do and really not worth the effort for very small businesses, but if you have patience and resources, consider relevant trade associations/groups representing the industry you wish to serve (many have local/regional chapters).

Joining these groups 'cold' is likely to be a frustrating and slow process -- but if you have an contacts/connections with introductions, you may speed things up.

Also consider SMPS membership, both for general btob AEC marketing insights, and also networking/relationship development with peers in other communities who may have connections.

Remember a lot of public bid stuff is either 'wired' (in other words the winner is known before anything goes out to public) or isn't worth doing because you will cut yourself to the bone.

Unless you have personal connections already, this is a long process -- worthy if you have patience, specialized knowledge, and determination, but not really something to do if you are looking for a quick answer to recession blues (and you aren't there already.)
