Marketing Demographic Permiting Intelligence Statistics

I followed a link from a Hanley Wood e-mail to the following site.....

http://www.hwmarketintelligence.com/v4/reports_ushm.asp

Which then advertised this demographic analysis piece of information

Maybe this can help some of you out there to check on rates of building permits pulled in various area.

Re: Marketing Demographic Permiting Intelligence Statistics

Hi Ed,
I've been receiving Hanley Wood's Key Indicator Alert report for about a year and I find the information highly useful. It mostly deals with the economy and the housing market. But, as we know, the remodeling industry follows new construction.

It seems that they have changed the report recently and I had to sign up again. Here's the webpage to sign up if anyone is interested:

http://www.hwmarketintelligence.com/...for+newsletter

I did find it interesting that the sign-up page included a list of Industry types but remodeling, home improvement, etc was no where to be found! There was an extensive list including attorneys, accountants, lenders, manufacturers, utilities, government officials, realtors and my personal favorite "Hanley Wood." I guess we would fall in "Other Industry."

Regards,
Annette

Re: Marketing Demographic Permiting Intelligence Statistics

Were I live my weekly town newspaper lists all the building permits issued. It includes the HO's name, address, total cost and cost of permit. The local daily paper (5 towns) prints most of the same information for each of the towns.

They also print a list by town of all the real estate transactions. I use those as part of my marketing plan.
