That will be designed after I get the Logo design resolved.

Also, I was thinking about making them out of a business card sized magnet, so they stay permanently on the refrigerator door for continuing visibility.

I recall having magnets done before with a die-cut house with a chimney sticking out of the roof for not much more than your gift cards cost, and they would have been considerably less expensive if I had gone with the standard business card size and shape instead of the die-cut.

I figure the longevity of a magnet will offset the additional minor cost upgrade even if I have to purchase them from another source to be printed, which I would prefer not to do.

I would view a magnet in a different light than a gift card. Magnets are more advertising aren't they.

Also, with all of the stainless appliances, it is getting rarer and rarer to see magnets on refrigerators anymore (at least out here).

Jesse, how are the GC's going now that you have a few months on them?

Re: Low Cost Company Gift Cards

First off, I want to nominate this thread as the longest to ever stay on the original useful topic.

Secondly, someone mentioned that they handed out GC's to people for referring a customer. This way you can get two jobs out of one printing. Has anyone had much luck out of this. I feel like GregDi. I am not going to pay much attention to a GC that is for much less than the total project. A $100 GC for a $15000 remodeling project is not going to make a sale. A $100 GC on a $1500 bathroom sprucing is more desireable. So, ever thought about a %. I know 10% on a $15000 project is can cut pretty deep but if it gets me a job and another satisfied customer...so be it. Can you not write off the GC's or Coupons as "advertising costs" on taxes?

As far as I can tell we have gotten 24 back since Christmas - a few have slipped through the cracks and not been recorded.

Can you tell if the return has been worth it so far?

Indeed they were! Considering that the initial investment was less than $200 for 1,000 cards I would say it was money very well spent.

I just need to make sure my service techs staple them to the paid invoices from now on instead of leaving them in a van, desk drawer, floor board, toolbox etc......there where quite a few that the secretary did not know about so did not ad to the program.

Jesse, sorry we missed you yesterday. It was a good time.

Those GC's rock. I really like mine quite a bit.
