Logo Design...

I want to come up with a fresh logo for the business. I am wondering how you other guys got your or made yours? If you bought it from a designer online link me up. If you made it yourself recommend me the software. Thanks! Oh yeah my site is in my sig if anyone wants to look. I kinda wanna go with something grey and red to match the site.

My wife picked my background - I just added in the rest, I will probably be updating it some with Kieth @ KBK pretty soon

A guy out of Czech Republic - done several logo's and websites for me. Probably the most professional images I've seen for so cheap. I see he bumped his prices up to $200 for a 3 concept logo. He used to be at $150.

If you use getafreelancer.com you can find very experienced graphic designers. You post a project and let them bid each other down. It's a great way to get high quality work for much less then you'd normally pay.

Your home page should be on the root directory of your web server. You have it in a sub directory named home.

LOL - yeah there are a couple like that. He used to get most of his leads from Sitepoint Forums (where I met him through a contest I was having) which had all kinds of crazy requests.

In my opinion, he is disconnected from what is easily printable. I sent a design, as an amatuer throwing something together, that the topic starter could never use as is on trucks, t-shirts, etc. It was a concept design he could use on his website but needed to be simplified for other purposes. I don't have the talent to do it, while sleeklogos seems to have the talent but not the desire to do it. Every time you ask a print shop to change colors, they charge you money. You want to keep the colors to a minimum because of that. If you look, his design for "Concorde" is actually one of the best. It stands out, only has a few colors (green and different shades of green), stands out and is to the point. The perfect logo is something like that.

Re: Logo Design...

I look at your logo all the time because it catches me off guard. Now, I am new here, so this could have been in another thread or just mentioned before.
But really, is it supposed to resemble a bear's head? Or am I just seeing things....
