Lay It On Me - Online Screen Printers You Like
Guess it's time to put the boys in some company duds. Thinking T-shirts. I'll keep the polos for upper management.
What are the online screen printers you guys have used for small runs? Thanks, |

OMG You do not have uniforms yet?!?!?!
Buy locally. I ordered from a local company 2 years ago. I got the 50/50 polyester/cotton shirts. They keep me cool during the summer. I have 4 shirts in my rotation. I wear them all the time, as undershirts during the winter, etc. These shirts are 2 years old and the screen printing will easily out last the shirts. But i paid more then on line. |

Re: Lay It On Me - Online Screen Printers You Like
Mike, the set up is a pain for the printers. Ask about larger runs, you will save a ton of money. If you are cheap, you can get crappy tee-shirts on-line for $3 each with a large run. I have a local printer that will match the price with a better shirt but I don't want 1000.
I just got some micro fiber vee neck pullovers done for about $40 each. They have 4 color printing on both sides. These are great for estimates since they can see our dress shirts with the vee-neck.

Mike...we went with local embroidered shirts, They look classier in my opinion, but may be tough with a intricat logo and multi color.

I cannot help you with an nline printer. I went with a local company also.
Navy Blue Collared shirts with silver logo for sales meetings. White t-shirts for workin' Going local is more money, but you can see the quality in person, and it tends to be easier to do the logo, verify the artwork, etc. It's a measure of risk I guess. |

Re: Lay It On Me - Online Screen Printers You Like
I've used UberPrints .com (without the spaces) twice over the past couple of years for our general work shirts. You can order small quantities, upload and place your artwork online, and then see the shirt layout before you order. You get to pick the shirts you want to use also.
We went with a local embroidery company for our polos because many online stores have 12 shirt minimums and charge a set up fee.

Re: Lay It On Me - Online Screen Printers You Like
Guys - I've got the nice-nice embroidered polos, those are for me.
Got the baseball caps, the fleece jackets and the winter jackets all logoed up. These are for the employees. I think it's time to get them out of the street clothes. 1000 shirts would last me a lifetime, I'm thinking like 3. I'll take a peek at those on line ones, thanks. |

I friend of mine recommends: http://www.ndesigns.net/
I haven't used them yet but I've considered buying ContractorTalk.com t-shirts from them. Prices seem good and T-Shirts are good quality. At least the one I got was.

Best over the years has been local Brick & Mortar
Best quality, real good prices You don't want those guys wearing "belly shirts" and showing off their "coin slots" like those 18 year old girls in the mall when those tees shrink up now do you?....< shivers > Find a local company

Use a local guy. Ask some local bands where they get their shirts form. Those guys are usually the cheapest. You need to order at least 30 to make it worthwhile. But they'll be gone before you know it. about $5-6 a shirt seems average.

I use customink.com, decent prices, quality shirts, and you can design the tee online.

Re: Lay It On Me - Online Screen Printers You Like
I used cafepress.com The quality is that of an iron on and has lasted a few years so far. I did this because of the ability to make low volume and full color purchases. The price per shirt is higher than you'd pay at a volume printer.
Then I paid my cousin, who wanted to open up a screen printing business in his garage, to print something like 20 t-shirts. A few weeks after he did my batch some of his equipment broke and I guess he lost his heart and closed up shop. Right now I am looking for somewhere local. To do some Polo's and t-shirts for me. Haven't found anyone I really liked. |

Re: Lay It On Me - Online Screen Printers You Like
Mike if your looking at only a few, Just spend about an hour and
print out some iron-ons. Avery makes some along with a few no names, Pick em up at staples or a craft store Believe me I spent an hour making a nice logo on free software from Avery (or something) and bang! print out a few and iron em up! Good to go then, They last a while using 50/50 blend heavywieght. Being a painter I go thru about 1 a month ( I have to retire it) Also my helpers use em too. I am in the process of making about 40 of them Thinking of giving them out or tossing them to little kids at local baseball games for cheap advertising. I buy my T's from a craft store(AC Moore) for 5/$10 they are onsale every other week and also buy cheapo iron-ons for about 10/$20 So for less than $50 and an hour to start you got 10 shirts with any colors you want, If ya got an inkjet printer Last edited by GoodPainter; 08-13-2007 at 11:56 PM. |

Re: Lay It On Me - Online Screen Printers You Like
Kinkos can put your logo on an iron on sheet for what I remember as being relatively cheap, depending on the size you want the logo you can do several shirts on one sheet. I also had some done at a local novelty shop quite reasonably.
Just looked at the date of the original post so I'm assuming you already had it done, but I'll post this anyhow.

www.queensboro.com has been outstanding for us - started using them for embroidery but they have not begun printing as well. Good quality products, very fair pricing and TONS of great promo sales that will come straight to your email box
