Jobsite Yard Signs

Is anyone using jobsite signs? We would like to have them made with our logo. They would need to be silk screened. Does anyone have a good source?

I get mine locally, but there are a ton of online services that are dirt cheap for disposable signs. yardsigns.com for one. I use them, infact I need to order more, we lose them sometimes too.

Re: Jobsite Yard Signs

You waste money if you dont put a brochure box on the sign. Trust me people stop and get out and grab them. Last job I had one on I went through 25 brochures in a couple of weeks. The guys said all kinds of people were stoping to grab them. (and not punk kids) At the price you can get brochures for at gotprint.com who cares if some kids nab some, just dont put tons in the box. I always made sure there was 5 in the box everytime I would check it. Weekends I would put 15 in.

Re: Jobsite Yard Signs

I had mine made by Fast Signs, it is a chain, but I dont know if they are located where you are. Mine are bigger than a standard yard sign, they are 4'0"x2'0" steel, with lettering that is adhesive backed. I welded a frame up, and put a plexiglass cover on so when the above mentioned punks spray paint their favorite motto, I can just replace the plexi, not the whole sign. Cost me $30 per sign. -Chris

Re: Jobsite Yard Signs

I had these really beautiful full color signs made up, cost me almost $100 apiece by the time they were done, nice black frames with decorative finishes, looked like a million bucks (some here might remember them when I posted pics of them.)

They worked freaken great, you wouldn't believe the amount of people I got calls from asking how much the house was for sale for!@!!

Everybody thought they were realtor signs!

Now I have cheap ass coreplast signs on cheap ass wire stakes.

The general public instantly thinks realtor sign when they are in those iron frames, they think contractor when they see those cheap ass coreplast signs!

So now we don't look so cool, but now people call for estimates instead of wanting to know the price of the house for sale.

Nice sign rusk... I am telling you better put a brochure box on that thing. In fact I think the best would be to make customized brochures for each project. People always want to know what is going on. Make up a info sheet about the project that talks about what products are being used. Include a 3-d design of the completed project (if you have one) on there as well so poeple will know what its going to look like.

I don't use signs that big, however, I do use some that are a hair smaller. In my area, there are gated communities that don't allow yard signs. No big deal. The signs on my trucks, parked in front or in the driveways work just as well.

Re: Jobsite Yard Signs

i've considered making some signs myself on the foam/posterboard. by first creating a stencil out of posterboard and then i have something to reuse.

i had a neibor that builds crafts for a living and he started making stenciled signs so i have a method to use that he developed. should work out.
