Invoice Printing

Who do you all use for your invoice printing?

Looking for 2 ply carbonless invoices that I can upload my artwork to.

Looking to do this online, any suggestions?

Thx

Re: Invoice Printing

Nebbs has that option available. I get their business forms marketing package frequently, but have never used them. I used to get some good ideas from their sample forms though.

Question; Why don't you just print out 2 or more copies as needed right from your accounting software package?

Re: Invoice Printing

The majority of my invoicing is TnM, those get written up in the feild after the job is complete. I don't give terms to clients and only bill my best customers, otherwise they gotta pay up right there.

My larger jobs usually consist of a written invoice and I print a copy of my excel (.xls) file to give an exploded price detail. Doing it this way I can do my 1/3's with current payments made and owed. Also change orders which I use a cheep blanket invoice pad from staples, I send a carbon copy of that so they can see their own signature and what was done to add to the costs. I want to stream line my process to cut down on paperwork , however aside from printing in the feild I don't know any better way to do it.

My first plumbing boss used to make me go to the GC's houses sometimes to wait for a payment owed. LOL, I think I was 18 and didn't know any better. By the time I left that company he wouldn't finish the job until he had a check. So I kinda adopted that thinking of get the money sooner rather than later. AND I like to get paid sooner so I can pay back my supply houses' accounts. I don't like making them wait 30 days to get money that I already have.

I'm still evolving on the whole financial aspects to this business. So far it's been working, I only have one customer who still owes me about 200 bucks but that was from about 3 years ago. And it's always the multi-millioniar's that hate to pay.......

Thx

James... I'd say you have a good policy.

My "on the spot" forms are from NEBS. They're the only game in town, near as I can tell.

Keep up the good work!

Re: Invoice Printing

I created blank invoices from with QB's..

simple; Create new invoice from your existing, edit the format, and delete the boxes with your totals, label it blank invoice.

I keep a couple in the truck for such occasions as they occur.

However, you're using excel, you could do the same for consistantcy, or purchase a pad from Nebs.

Re: Invoice Printing

I do like excell, I have spent years learning it, and when I try my layouts comeout nice. I just want a decent form to make it easy for me and my clients to read. I did look at the nebs forms and the 2 part (245-2-2) looks nice, kinda pricey but I guess ya gotta spend money to make money!
