Internet Advertising In A Local Market
I'm looking into advertising locally on the internet-from the research I've begun, Gxxgle Adwords allows this. What are the best internet search engines to team with (pay) to advertise on? If anyone has side by side comparisons, which one(s) were more valuable then others?

Re: Internet Advertising In A Local Market
Hello,
If you're looking for the most traffic Google is going to win Hands-Down. Followed by Yahoo/Overture and then MSN/AOL. Google will be the most expensive. But if you're setting up a regionally targeted campaign the clicks shouldn't be too bad as you're no longer competing on a national scale. I am happy to help with anything Adwords related. if you have your website optimized for your target keywords, your site can appear in the natural search results which are free.

Re: Internet Advertising In A Local Market
How is ranking high in Google SERPS expensive?
We rank #1 in Google for absolutely nothing. Just ranking #1 is only half the battle. You still should be attracting people to your website in the advertising for your business. Business cards, door hangers, flyers, print ads. You want to get all the traffic you can.

Re: Internet Advertising In A Local Market
Target your audience to get #1 for 'local' searches. All the 'sales lead' companies try to have all the top spots, paid and generic, but you can still rank with them in top 5. For 'free'.
I do good for slate repairs in Richmond, or Central Va. searches. Some forum lurkers have googled my 'handle' and got me and most of my sites in top 5.
