Hi Cinder,

Great, Clean looking site. You've also already got a little page rank which means the site is indexed by Google, and likely showing up in SERPS.

In fact if you search your site title:

"Pittsburgh Hardwood Flooring Company" - you'll see that you're coming up in the Google Maps listings, which is good.

Now you just need to really make Google take notice and throw you up into the top 3 organic listings.

Your website is currently lacking backlinks, (other websites linking to yours) which is one of the most critical factors when trying to promote a website online...

Setting up a simple "Hardwood-Flooring-Resource" page and adding a link somewhere at the bottom of your website from the homepage would be a great start to run a small linking campaign to improve your organic rankings.

Ideally you (or your webmaster) want to find other websites related to hardwoods, flooring, laminates, etc... That are not competitors, perhaps they are in a different state, service a different market, closely related services, etc... whatever the case may be.

Exchanging links with other websites (targeted websites being key) is a critical factor in any SEO campaign and will bring about some of the fastest and longest lasting results.

By looking at some of your local competitors, RothCarpet, BeautifulFloors,ASatinFinish etc... It would probably take you as little as 10-15 really targeted backlinks with the following anchor text leading to your website.

"Pittsburgh Hardwood Flooring Company" (5 links+)
"Pittsburgh Hardwood Flooring Contractor" (5 links+)
"Pittsburgh Hardwood Floor Installer" (5 links+)

If you or your webguy spent the time to do this, (likely take 2 hours of your time) it will pay you back in high rankings and quality, targeted traffic.

You will rank high for the above keyword phrases specifically and likely anything else involving "pittsburgh & hardwood".

While there are other methods to generate traffic, commanding a strong position in the search engines is probably the most rewarding.
