Paul ( Peck ) and I have landed jobs from Facebook.
It is a great marketing tool, and it's all for free.

Have fun with it, and keep people engaged

Re: If You're Not On Facebook, You Should Be.

Here is a little Facebook tip for everyone, as some people may not know this...

After you have 25 "likes" on your fan page (this is the business page not your personal profile) you can change your Facebook URL to a shortened vanity url like facebook.com/your company name.

This will make it easier for people (and potential customers!) to find you on Facebook.

Re: If You're Not On Facebook, You Should Be.

I started a thread on the FB topic recently. Since then, I have really searched the web looking for more industry information. It appears that there is a lot of information relevent to constuction: new materials, tools, codes etc...

check out the following: I cannot post urls--sorry, but you can search the fb for the following sites. These are the best I found.

Swanson Tool Co.

Stanley Tools

Black and Decker.

Green Building Materials.

Re: If You're Not On Facebook, You Should Be.

Last week I received a call from a couple that lives in Connecticut. They had just purchased a second home
in Cape Canaveral which is here in my area. After talking with them via phone and email they
Fedexed me a key to go in the home and have a look. They wanted to make the opening between
their kitchen larger and incorporate an arch into that area as well. They also wanted some wallpaper
removed and the entire interior repainted with some accent walls too. Well after striking a deal we started the job.
They flew in yesterday and I went to get some $$$ and go over some more details. They told me that they found me on Facebook
and had looked through all of my pictures. They said they knew I was the right contractor for the job before even talking to me.

Here's some pictures I posted of that project on my FB fan page--> Click Here

If you're not on Facebook, you should be.
