Lone Star, if you are going to do a radio ad, use some form of a catchy, well written jingle. I did radio, and although it didn't perform like I wanted, people remembered my gig from the commercial. Doing a video commercial of a couple of stooges doing a remodel project would be pretty cool also.

Easier said than done.

Mixalot...I know, I know. Started an account, but closed it when I realised my folly--went ahead and tried to re-start an account as a local business, clicked the right button and everything. I thought I did it all, but since I already HAD opened an account and deleted it, started a new opne merely reacctivated the old account. So yeah, in two weeks time the old account will be truly permanantly deleted and only THEN can I open a new, actual business account and have it connected to my business related email. So yeah, silly assed me.

I'm really confused, how do you know if you have the right account? Does it look different?

Deactivating and deletion are two totally different things. FB makes the link obscure for actual deletion. There is a 2 week time after you actual delete account. Deactivating is infinite....you can sign in a year or so later and reactivate. here is the actual delete FB account url facebook (dot)com/help/contact.php?show_form=delete_account
Read more here: facebook(dot)com/group.php?gid=16929680703

I'll also note that when you do delete one and create another right away, you won't be able to use the same credentials i.e email addy & such. You'll likely reactivate the old one

Facebook has turned into a great marketing tool. I have had to create an account to keep all my referrals together.

Well the first thing would be- On a business Page, you don't have to request as a "Friend" you just click on "Like".

Re: If You're Not On Facebook, You Should Be.

Just got back on this trend to see how things are going and WOW! I need to catch up. The good thing is I have been really busy lately and that has kept me off the computer. I will make sure to add all the new FB sites to my faves over the next few days. Great to see all the new ones

Re: If You're Not On Facebook, You Should Be.

I loved all this info about Facebook. I got my Fan Page setup a while ago, but haven't done too much there.... seems like I'm really missing out on it.... any tips to help me to improve it, will be welcome....

I've been learning some about internet marketing, just now getting my website done... I'm finding great information here on these forums..
thanks to everyone!

Social Media is about being social. Have fun, be yourself and be creative.
Try to keep the " advertisements " down to a mininum.
