If You Had A Crystal Ball?

If you had a crystal ball in front of you what are the 3 things you would change in your business right now.

If I had a crystal ball that worked, I wouldn't be worried about business, my concern would be the dust my helicopter was kicking up and getting on my collection of motorcycles and vintage cars as well as in my olympic size pool, while transporting swimsuit models from my yacht to my, one of many, palatial estates.

Re: If You Had A Crystal Ball?

Hmmm.. I would think a crystal ball would be for seeing the future, and a magic genie would be for making wishes come true.

In any case.... If consulting the crystal ball...

What is the residential market going to do in the next 18 to 24 months? New build and renovation?
What will steel and wood prices do in the next 18 to 24 months?
What are next weeks winning Mega-lotto numbers, so I don't have to worry about the first two questions?

If asking the magic genie to grant wishes...

I would like more jobs to bid as a new company to the market. Basically, I would like "instant credibility" with GCs so I get more work to bid on.
I'd like GCs and suppliers to be more honest with me.
I wish customers would better understand that I am here to make a profit.. but that deosn't mean I am out to squeeze every last dollar out of them.

One thing that the Crystal Ball is already saying, is that all Chinese Imported products are going to skyrocket in price due to the earthquake over there.

I heard this from several birdies already.

Screws, nails and any other mass produced item that normally don't amoun to a substantial hil of beans in the job cost, now will need to be line itemed.

I would ask it to show me the weather so I'm not sitting home on rain days (today) and making sales calls on sunny days (yesterday)!

I would only ask two things.

1. Will I ever learn enough?

2. Will Jason ever forgive us? (We send all bad weather east) :>)

Good Luck
