How NOT To Get Screwed By An SEO Company

Hey guys,

I posted this on another topic, but thought it would be good information for all.

A quick guide on the pro's and con's of search engine optimization... questions to ask a potential company you want to hire... and an example of a rip-off.

Good info for anyone who wants to market their business online.

Very nice.

One point of disagreement:

You don't pay per click but,

Organic traffic is not free.

It can be great value, but not free.

Re: How NOT To Get Screwed By An SEO Company

guess I should clarify - once you pay your SEO company... or do the work somehow by yourself... the traffic is free. In other words - you pay for the rankings. Whether you get 1 visitor or 10,000 - there is no cost involved.

That is, unless, the SEO company is compensated based on the nubmer of visitors they bring to your site - but that's a different story.
