How Do I Get Leads Through My Website?
I have read replies refering to leads being generated through websites. I have been paying for a lead generator but none of the leads have pulled through. Does anyone mind letting me know useful ways to generate leads through their personal business websites. What do you do to drive traffic to your site? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Re: How Do I Get Leads Through My Website?
Xpress, as with marketing in general, the same concept of "those who scream the loudest are heard first" should apply to your website as well. The more you put your info ABOUT your website out there on different free advertising sites the more traffic you draw to it. Always continue to put hard print info out (whether it's giving your business card to everyone you meet or using direct mail, etc) and always make sure you continue to socially promote the company. Keep in mind the area you're in can make a difference too. Check the demographics of your area and make sure you're not falling on deaf ears.. The other thing is if you have a relatively new website it takes a couple of months to start reaping the benefits. Be sure to add google analytics to each page so you can actually track the traffic. Hope that helped!

Smart spam. Someone with one post asks a question, someone with one post answers is. Happens daily.

Re: How Do I Get Leads Through My Website?
Especially when a "Director of Marketing" in this day and age has to ask how to drive traffic to their website and get leads. That's kinda like an NFL Running Back having to stop and ask for directions to the end zone.

Re: How Do I Get Leads Through My Website? Ya gotta admit, the questions DO seem rather odd and suspicious coming from someone with the title "Director of Marketing". Either it's someone who is clueless about Marketing but was given the title OR someone with ulterior motives. Think of it like a "Certified Tile Installer" that doesn't know how to mix grout or a "Lead Architect" that doesn't know how to read blueprints and figure out all the takeoffs to do a cost estimate.

Re: How Do I Get Leads Through My Website?
When you're applying for that director of marketing job...wouldn't someone ask:
"by the way, do you know how to get leads?" Spam never even crossed my mind. Dead right though. Why don't these d bags go out and get real jobs? Or try banging a nail for a living. wow...I did get up on the wrong side myself. |

Re: How Do I Get Leads Through My Website?
Good grief, is that how it works? I have to write x amount of posts to be deemed worthy of putting our website in my signature? Wow... I've been using this site as an education on what I'm doing but sounds like I might need an education on the site! Thanks for the info! Hey, how do I get a pic under my name? Write "***" amount of posts??

Re: How Do I Get Leads Through My Website?
I take it you have some traffic coming to your site already?
Do you have an option for people to request quotes or ask for advice? If you do not have the technical savy to do this you coudl always get a simple link added to your sight which woudl take you to a third party service such as wufoo dot com which allows you to build different types of forms to collect information. I use this service for getting subscription requests. Another solution you may want to look into is setting up a current projects blog which will allow you to post pictures and updates daily on your projects for people to check out. You then simply have links back to your main site. Hope this helps a bit! |

Re: How Do I Get Leads Through My Website?
It takes alot of work. For one your website company should have helped you in this process with this issue. Most of our leads come from our website paverstonedesigngroup dot com. Instead of paying a ton of money for our site. We only pay $150.00 per month and in that package they design our business cards, they make flyers for us, the also do all of that SEO stuff. We are at the top of google in the local market and about the 3rd or forth page in the national market if you type "paver patio" in the google search. I also paste this site on everything I can. I love to talk about them because I have to say this is the only reason we are making any money right now. It's firmmediadesign dot com and clear imaging does all of the hosting for them all included. You have to look really good and have alot of information about your product or service.
