Home Tours With Customers

Has anyone organized a customer home tour of your remodeling jobs? ( 3-4 homes in a neighborhood including either a kitchen, bath, lower level or other)

Re: Home Tours With Customers

Ha Ha, home tours. These work great according to my friends that do it.

Here's my little story,
I go out and price a high end remodel, everything top shelf, customers very conservative and cautious. So I say how about a tour of a home I did.
Thinking to show off my fine work.
I call the people who I want as my showpiece remodel, he's the president of a prestigious Yacht Club, a very distinguished looking guy and ask for a tour that weekend. "Admiral Hornblower" consents.

That weekend we drive up to this estate, everything perfect, and ring the bell. My distinguished looking Captain answers the door in his Navy Dress Whites uniform, looking like the boss of every ship captain in America, except,
He's pukin', f**kin', piss in his pants drunk and burping fumes like a one cylinder kerosene log splitter!

Oh Damn!

Good lord, that had to be funny no matter what. Maybe you shouldn't have installed that keg-o-rator, or the 3 wine coolers for him!!!

I still have the keys and alarm codes for every house I have remodeled from 1998-2008.

True story, Lafayette Yacht Club.
And I didn't get the job.
But it was funny, just not to my prospects.
