Home Improvement Expo Dot COM

Just got a call from a fast talking, pushy rep from Home Improvement Expo Dot Com. The deal is that they let you buy zip codes for $400 per year, per zip code. You will be the exclusive contractor for any and all leads that come in via their main website. I brought up SM and he said that they are light years ahead of them blah..blah...I said thanks, I'll pass.

"But they have upscale clients looking for reputable contractors, a 7 figure marketing campaign budget that I would not be able to match" blah...blah... I said...As I said thanks, but I'll pass.

So anyone heard of this outfit?

Here are a couple of recent threads about them.

One person was very pleased with thier service, but no one else seems to be.

Re: Home Improvement Expo Dot COM

I was a member of a HI group, a number of the members bought their service, I did not. members reported problems with the services received, then problems in resolving issues.
I remember that they sell a territory and its supposed to be exclusive, I would imagine at some point the exclusivity wears off.
Do your research and call some members, get them to tell you how its working for them. I stick with my take on them, stay away, or buy the service, maybe you'll be one of their happy clients.

They work well for me, unlike sm,rr abd the others. I like knowing there are not 4 other guys and its my ability to close a sale.

Paul, are you in a city or a more rural setting? It seems to me that this works better in smaller cities and large towns.

Re: Home Improvement Expo Dot COM

Well Long Island is long.
I don't know why it would be better there, but a lot has to do with you. You may work well with this setup and then the rest of us are jealous.
I grew up in Connecticut (Waterbury) and hung out in Bridgeport with my family and the East Coast is better for lead services in my opinion.
Glad its working for you.
