Has Any One Run An Angies List Coupon

I am considering running an Angies List coupon that would put me at the top of the list in a highlighted area for $200.00 per month for 12months. They only sell 12 slots in a category at a time. Anyone have any results from this?

Thanks,

Brian

$200? They want $500 from me but I'm not interested in signing a 12 month contract. I would be willing to try $200 for a month since their page views for my trade are so IMO.

Let me know how you make out, I was going to ask around to see what people are getting for results.

Not too impressed with them huh? Could you elaborate a little to inform my investment decision? I understand that the customer reviews are largely out of the contractors control. I am more interested in the ad side of their program.

Price varies by category. They do have a weird inverse opt out penalty. It's .5 your monthly rate time the number of months you were in. IE one month = 100.00 penalty. 11 months = 1100 penalty for the last month. The other option they offer in the contract is that you have 18 months to use up the 12 month contract. If you don't do exterior painting for 3 months a year you can place the ad on hold for that period.

We did one once, @ 20 years ago.
Seriously, more than half of our business
comes from being in the list.
When we did it it was only $10 an issue.

More than 750,000 consumers use
Angie's List to find high quality contractors, service companies and health care providers.

Why use Angie's List?
  • Unbiased ratings and reviews
  • Companies don't pay to be on Angie's List
  • Our staff reads every review before you do
  • Discounts from highly rated businesses

You don't pay to be on Angie's list. But Contractors discount home buyer's? yeah Right

I got flagged by a home owner that showed up 2 hours late to an appointment and got mad because I told her my time is as valuable as hers.

That was the thing that set off a red flag for me, if the paid spot is so good why would people opt out?

Also they have been in the Boston market for years and the have a few open spots for replacement windows........why? If it works so well why would people get off of the list?

I'd try $200 a month for 3 months to see if I liked it. $500 is way too much. Anyone got a direct link to this?

Im sick of them flooding my e-mail box with these queer e-mails where they pretend to be a customer and then its all advertising once you open it.

The calls we get from people that find us on angies list are all tire kickers. IMO the customers there are one step above the folks on craigslist.

Re: Has Any One Run An Angies List Coupon

I forgot to add. I got on Angie's List with someone Posting a Fake review of my company.

I did not know the the person who did the review of my company. They made up a fake review and posted it on their site.

They where trying to get into the DC market and had someone wrote a fraudulent review of our company on their website. Even though it was a positive review

Angie's list can Kiss my azz.

They are a fake and a Fraud.

Angie's list works for us.The people could be called tire kickers ,but almost all are and always have been.
I cant see them getting 500 a month from anybody,I think the salesmen was reaching, did you make a counter offer.
All the years I have been doing this nobody has said "thank God your here today is the day"
