Its worth a try, skip the video

I save some and I give them to other people sometimes (the articles)
I can write a 500 word article in a half hour.
Like is your kitchen hot?
Let me show you how to turn up the heat without burning the house, stuff like that.

Is this relevant to your "most wanted response" for the visitors that are on your page?

If your answer is no, then you know what you need to do.

Quick article subject tip:

What keywords are the searchers searching for? What problem are they trying to solve?

There is your next article subject.

Additionally, your articles should be formatted something like this:
(Proven, succesful copywriting formula)

Attention!
Interest!
Desire!
Action!

Nothing more and nothing less.

Ever had a salesman trap you in your office and puke a bunch of information on you that didn't want to be wasting you time with? Don't be that guy.

Grab their attention!

Peak their interest!

Fuel their desire to know more!

Demand that they call you! (Call Paul at Silvertree Design to start planning your new kitchen now!)

That may sound a little hokey but look at the infomercials on TV, do think they they put that stuff in their scripts because it doesn't work?

Quote:
The AIDA formula (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) is the only formula you really need to know when you write ads. It is the foundation of all selling and the sooner you understand the formula, the sooner copywriting will become an intuitive and simple process for you. Remember: Attention, Interest, Desire, Action.

Re: Google Seminars For Success...

Want to spice up your cooking?

The most efficient way to cook is to have everything organized and easy to get at. One of the most efficient uses of cabinet space is properly using built ins and enhancements, like a fold down spice rack. Many people don't realize that Rev-a-shelf, an American manufacturer of kitchen space products offers solution from everything ect

Wrote this in the last few minutes, this is what I do and call content.
Is this what you mean

That's not relevant to getting their kitchen remodeled.

The subject of your articles must be absed upon solving the readers problem.

Re: Google Seminars For Success...

Before we more into article writing, let's finish the keyword research so that we don't waste any time writing articles that will not solve the problems of the reader.

Articles are like tools for the readers. They are looking for solutions.

When you need a hole drilled, you go to the tool store because you already know they have the tool you need.

What would you do if the sale guy kept trying to get you interested in a paint sprayer?

A paint sprayer ain't fixing your problem.

Just like an article on how to spice up your cooking isn't helping find help for remodeling their kitchen.

Where are you going to find what they want?

Research, using Google's keyword tool.

Duane, are you around?

This is very important stuff for your PPC adwords campaign. Chime in anytime as you both need to go through this process.

Re: Google Seminars For Success...

Sure its relevent
Rev a shelf goes in the cabinets in their new kitchen, I would have added a few more paragraphs and eventually got them wanting to makeover or remodel. If people reading that want to "spice up" the kitchen, then they are going to have to get some work done.
If your saying it doesn't sell enough, I can fix that.
Do you love your kitchen?

We are kitchen designers and remodelers, we love doing kitchens and we love it when our customers tell us they love their new kitchen.
Beautiful kitchen are a combination of many things, from the fine woods we use to the natural beauty of stone tops highlighted by low voltage undercabinet lights ect

Just read the last post, sent while I was typing. OK I get it.

According to you or according to what the searchers are typing in Google?

Remember, when I talk about relevance, it is along the lines of what Google thinks is relevant based on what the searchers are searching for. Not we might think is relevant.

Even though I understand it is a relevant product used in remodels, we need to know if it will work for us as a "search" term in order to help us meet our goals on using Google to help us get customers.

The problem I guess for me is, 2 and 5 posts back to back from one person. I just looked through and now I see it was 101, 201 exc sorry there is no duplicates I was wrong, I did think it was and got frustrated fast.

I would rather you edit and add to your posts, instead of replying as much as you do after you post before someone else posts, But I'm maybe newer to this than you and I could be wrong so let me ask you what way is better or have you gave it any thought.

ps.. I'm probably way out of line for asking but I got to know.

The only reason I care is I am interested in seeing what all you put on here, and now I'll go check it out thanks for putting it up and clearing me up on duplicates that are not there. lol

See how it's broken down to the lowest common denominator?

So, we know that Rev A shelving is popular and relevant to remodeling a kitchen even if Google doesn't (sometimes that happens but is another topic entirely).

So, the title of the article should be:

Rev A Shelving
And Why Your Kitchen Remodel
Will Be Incomplete Without It!

Instead of:

"Want to spice up Your Cooking?"

Mike, I posted that because it contains the bullet points of what will be covered in the seminars and what I will be learning. Also wanted to illustrate that the sheer amount of info is great, but can be conquered a little at the time by breaking it down into smaller modules.

You are not out of line. Thanks for taking enough interest to ask.

Based on copy writing basics I have learned over the past couple of years, it is proven that people like to read little bits at a time instead of trying to squeeze everything in one post or body of info.

Like the guy that writes a post covering three or four paragraphs of info but never bothers to actually separate the paragraphs. The majority of people will not read it. I know I won't.

I do the same thing with my posts, otherwise I may be responding to two people, or two different topics in the same post which will get confusing when someone (or me) goes back through to find some information to reference.

--------

You're missing one critical step in the formula: Credibility. A I D C A You have to also establish that you are the right one to provide the solution or satisfy their desire. Otherwise you may be creating all that energy for someone else. Just because you're the one creating the attention doesn't necessarily mean that you're also creating the action directed towards you. I see this all the time when people promote a product category. For example, if I were doing a promotion or writing an article on the importance of car insurance, if I didn't include some element of credibility, I'm just as likely to create business for Geico as for my insurance company.

Make sense?

Craig
