Re: Google Seminars For Success...

Hello,
A couple of things, the keywords part of this is not the most difficult. I sell kitchens and I know a lot of Do it Yourself types are dreaming, they want more for their money and DIY in their minds means they will save half or more. So, I feel I need to get these folks and convert them to full service buyers. My landing page then would have to appeal to and educate these folks to realizing a professional job is less stressful, and a good value. A DIY job where the HO spent 25K and looks non professional will cost the HO when they sell, and so on.
I get a lot of what your saying here, but I got my own spin on it, and that is to not only get people to the site, but to get a certain type of person to the site, and to convert them. Thats a lot of work and try to find someone to deliver on that wish list.

So, are you gonna give them what they want or try to change what they want?

Both, I will give them so free information that will help, along with friendly advice on the pitfalls and the end result of those pitfalls if they are not taken seriously.
And I will letb them know I am available if they decide to hire a pro.

If that is your goal, that is the content you need to place on your site. And lots of it, in as many ways as is possible.

However, changing a potential clients mind from DIY to full service client is out of my realm.

If you still want help getting good converting traffic, let me know.

I still need help with the converting traffic.
Don't dismiss the DIY conversions.
I just read something like 75% of remodeling (residential) is DIY and 29% of those jobs end up going to a pro shortly after starting. Thats a huge amount of business.
I do have a blog going right now, and I'm learning how to manage that, but I am assuming that will drive traffic to me also.
Next weeks article is SEX, and why its important when remodeling your bath

Re: Google Seminars For Success...

I am still willing to help. However, I am a little confused as to what you would like for me to help you with.

I have tried to communicate the fact that giving the searchers "what they want and are searching for" is the most efficient way of doing this and will give you the biggest ROI on your time and effort. (and mine too)

But I am not sure how "SEX, and why its important when remodeling your bath" is relevant to anything I have found the searchers to be looking for.

If you want to take that approach and try to build your brand through writing, I think you can do that. But I think it will take years to do instead of a few months. I don't think I can commit that long a time frame as I am working on my own business as well.

If we can't make it work, I'll be glad to reimburse you for the donation you made.

Re: Google Seminars For Success...

The donation was freely given, and I would be offended if you thought I gave it only because your helping me.
The SEX article will be a play on words as to specific requirements for men and women when remodeling a bath. So its the SEX of the customer and how men and women differ for remodel wants and needs. The title gets attention, it will be a fun read, it will have keywords. I think few people will find the article offensive.
Now as to keywords and their importance, I have already spent a lot of time (as you have) following your advice. I don't intend to quit now. The blog helps me improve my writing skills and I enjoy doing it. Takes an hour to write an article. It will point to my website which will have different content.
So, no problems from where I sit, unless you sense I'm giving up remodeling sales to become the next Studs Turkel

Gotcha. OK, if you are gonna do the blog, no problem. However, you are gonna have to double up and write about the relevant content too. And the first step is going through the process of keyword research. Here is why:

Once you go through the process and get control of the lower competition keywords and the traffic they hold for you, you will have to go back through this process again when it is time for new keywords. I may or may not be around for that second round as I have a lot of work to do myself. If I just feed you a fish, you will starve tomorrow. But I had rather teach you how to fish.

Your blog about those different subjects aren't gonna be much good if there is no one there to read them. So, let's get the relevant traffic. Deal?

One thing. On my site, I state "Your saving is from as little as 20%,to maybe 60%.". I want them to know that 20% is likely AHAAAA!! I'll add "20% is YOUR more likely savings, if you discount your own labor costs."

I don't want them to be too hopeful of that 60%-70% savings figure.
