Honestly it depends on who it is. If their voice gets on my nerves... but the material is good... I go for the books.
I am just getting done reading the little red book. I thought it was great and I know it could be applied to any industry, but they refer to a lot of business to business selling. I think its the hole mind set and preperation that the book gets across. I am going to read it again this week.

the godfather by mario puzzo

Michael: Luca Brasi held a gun to his head, and my father assured the bandleader, that either his signature or his brains would be on the contract.

THis isn't necessarily a sales book - but it's my favorite overall book of all time - 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene.

You can read the first few pages on Amazon.com - http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/0140...40#reader-link

I've read it at least 10 times.... recommend it to anyone for anything.

Re: A Good Book On Driving Sales.

If you are looking for a sales book that is specifically relevant to this industry, consider Michael Stone's "Profitable Sales".

http://www.markupandprofit.com/books_sales.html

I didn't agree with everything he says -- but he is most definitely 'on topic' so his advice will have great relevance -- and is an excellent complement to the general gurus recommended elsewhere in this thread.
