Question

Gifts

Do any of you Professional Builders once completed the project give out a gift of some sought as a good gesture when the HO moves into their home? Is it and should it be common/nice practice?

Re: Gifts

A coupon for more work, $1500 towards a sunroom, $1000 towards a deck, $1500 towards a finished basement. I'm not a builder but my 2cents are free!

Give them a free trash can so they can through away all the "new to the neighborhood" junkmail.

How about some nice numbers for their home? I love it when I work on a $500,000 + house and they have the sticky homecreapo ones. You can order the cast ones with their name for small money.

Or how about you go back after a week to haul all of the moving stuff to the dump for them (boxes, un wanted junk, kids).

Coupons? I've been thinking about putting out a coupon myself, it will say "Good for quality when ever you need it, expiration date my/retire/ment " thank you for your business!

I could backfire if they wish they had one for their current job

Re: Gifts

A simple gift is a great way of saying thanks and will generate extra work in the future. Flowers is good. And coupons is also a good idea.
