If by Green you mean environmentaly responsible,
flyers are junk mail and not a good idea.

I am not preaching, just pointing that out.
Most of the time they don't work.

Re: Flyers, Do They Work?

I get a lot of work from flyers. But there are some things you have to remember.
  • Make sure you don’t put them in or on the mailboxes (up to a $10,000 fine per box)
  • Make sure that who ever is doing the flyers is dressed nice, can answer simple questions if someone asks and stays off the grass.
  • Make sure that you have a flyer the is simple to understand and looks decent
I have found that it works out to 1 lead for every 100 flyers.

Yeah, i was wondering how effective fliers would be, 1 out of 100 is not a good average and not worth the use of all the paper and cost. Chinese food, is that a good market in this economy? maybe i will start selling chinese food. thanks guys.

Re: Flyers, Do They Work?

Well it costs me $50 to get 700 flyers printed and folded at Staples and about another 100 to have them handed out. That 1 in 100 is just the first round of calls. But I get calls up to one year after handing them out. Think about this when you get a Chinese menu most people put it up on the fridge or in a drawer and when you hungry for it you look at it. It happens a lot with us. We will get a call and they say "yea we got your flyer about 6 months to year ago and now we are looking to have some work done". There is the old saying that there is no bad advertising
