I've seen some "homemade" cards and they look "homemade". Maybe yours are better I don't know. I pay the piper and get them made by a print shop, I feel I'm supporting a fellow tradesman and get a quality product. My .02

I can take a dump in 5 minutes or less....but that is not something I hand to people whose business I want.

Re: Fast Business Card Printing?

It wasn't me that named the thread. If it was about "really pretty cards that take 3-7 days to get" you should have named it that.

That is a good point. Another good point is that almost everyone who receives a business card makes their assumptions of you and your business according to your business card that you hand them.

Is that what you do? I mean not about the information on the card but how the card looks...that an expensive card is what impresses you?

And here all this time I was just using peoples cards for the name and phone number and maybe an email address....I could have been judging their character and ethics and the quality of their service by what their business card cost. damn I failed again!

First impressions.
Your card may be a persons first impression of you.
If it feels like a cheap card - but "looks" like a nice card.....why would I believe your job would be any different?
Spackle and paint make a job what it ain't!

MALCO is right, OvernightPrints - worth every cent & then some (MALCO - still doing the AT&T gig - or are you just raving now?)

IMO, Vista Prints is perfect for all those of you that believe that your cards just get thrown away, however, I would tend to look in the mirror or my presentation skills as for why that might be happening though...

I can see where you're coming from. It doesn't matter to you if you have your name scrawled in crayon on a piece of paper, it's just information that will more than likely get thrown out and it shouldn't matter how "pretty" the card is. But keep in mind that's YOU'RE opinion. You're potential customers decide whether or not to hire you based on THEIR opinion. If you go to a interveiw for employment in a stained t-shirt, cut offs and reeking of beer nobody will hire you even though you could be the best worker in the state of Alaska.

nah...I just print them..crayons don't work very well for business cards. I do try to keep the stains off the cards...but that's not hard because I make them so cheaply I can give them a new clean one.

I don't drink alcohol or wear cut off pants (my legs are alaska snow white)

Where do yall keep all these cards you keep? I usually put the info in my address book on the computer. Don't you do that? Or do you just have a album of cards or are they in a drawer somewhere. I can't even remember what the last card some one gave me looked like.
