Re: Facebook Marketing

I would highly recommend building a stand alone website for your business.

The goal is for the customer to find you.

For example, if you Google - " Pool Cleaning In Orlando "

You will find our site - http://www.magicpoolservices.com

If you Google - " Pool Cleaning In Orlando "

You are NOT going to find our Facebook Page.

However, we advertise on Facebook because it is the 2nd largest website in the world ( Google #1 ) and a customer may find us.

Facebook is a great way of sharing information to many people at once, and helps brand your business.

PS - Just finished to the Fan Page Update
Check it out and feedback please.

Re: Facebook Marketing

Another great feature of a Fan Page is that you can send updates directly to your fans. We did last one last night for a good cause.

" Magic Pool Services would like to donate $1,000 to the American Red Cross to help the victims of the tragedy in Hati. For every customer that we sign up in January and February, we will donate $25 from our proceeds to the American Red Cross. The only way we can do this, is if we generate new customers.

Please follow this link to our Page, and in the upper left hand corner, " Suggest To Friends ". This will take a few minutes, but through the power of Facebook, hopefully we can get enough customers to meet our goal.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Orland...s/116121093133

Even if you don't live in Orlando, one of your friends may know someone that does. Again, it will only take a few minutes of your time and it is for a larger cause.

Let's all try to make a difference in the victims lives, and we will keep you updated on our Fan Page.

Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,

Christian Spoerl "

Re: Facebook Marketing

We have running Facebook ads and getting a lot of traffic to our Fan Page.
We went from 150 fans to 196 within 4 days.

It may cost some money, but it is well worth it.

Re: Facebook Marketing

I have a facebook page and it has created some business for me. My company is almost one yr old, and I started like some with literally nothing except the tools I had in the garage that I thought I would NEVER use again.

Anyway, I started just by spreading the word to friends and folks from church. About the same time, a lot of folks from church started using facebook, so I signed up. Then it hit me... why not have a business page here too? So I did. I got most of my friends to join, then I started getting them to tell friends of friends etc...
I will have an actual website up sometime this year, but the facebook page has helped without question.
It doesn't really help me if someone clicks on Birmingham remodel or Birmingham contractor, but my company IS the #2 listing if you google the name because of.... "facebook". Probably won't drum up business, but I thinks it's really cool! lol!

Bob

You can set your budget for what ever you want per day.
For example our budget is set for $5.00 per day during the winter month, and $10.00 a day for the summer months.

We are in the pool industry, so naturally we going to spend more in the summer.

By the way... I spent a summer around 15 yrs or so ago helping build gunnite (did I spell that right?) pools. Hardest job I have EVER had!
I did get a great tan though, built up some good muscles... haha!

Since the pool construction industry is down ( thanks to the Great Recession ) pool resurfacing is UP. One of my business partners is doing a lot of working fixing up pools here in Central Florida. Not to mention the number of foreclosures with pools, there are always diamonds in the rough.
