Direct Marketing To Custom Home Builders And Remodelers?
We have a somewhat unique approach to placing stone or tile on outdoor decks. Have been thinking about putting a letter and or flyer together and mail them directly to the local higher end builders and remodlers. Any one try something like this before?

Re: Direct Marketing To Custom Home Builders And Remodelers?
Most of the "Custom"builders are custom only in price and if they are custom they are snobs. They usually do not even know first hand of the product they put out, so your best bet is to blitz the super. You have to get your work infront of them though. The best way would be to pick out the smallest floor space and put your product on it. Do it yourself ,so you do not have to pay for labor unless you have the money to give away labor and materials. I have been mailing "stuff" to builders for years and no luck. This is the next avenue to take. I am getting ready to do this with a demo door or something to show what jacklegs of crappy painters they have. Show why you are custom because I am going to be dropping the curtain on alot of painters here with the quality side because these painters will not be able to keep stride with quality. They are geared to blow-n-go. Even if they do a house or two that way they will not be able to keep it up. Use this strategy with your competitors. It might be a little harsh, but who are you loyal to? Your family or theirs?

Re: Direct Marketing To Custom Home Builders And Remodelers?
You are not going to get any work if the consumers do not know that the products and service you supply exists.
Make a point of showing this to the custom builders and renovators, and show then your value........Driving in the country I can see a grainery that is empty, I could look at it two ways, the farmer is not doing well and is going to be out of buisness soon or he just sold all his grain for a profit and is looking to renovate his house. The person that assumes the first, drives by and misses out on at least a cup of coffee and maybe some day soon a customer. Custom builders are nothing but farmers who are emptying someones grainery, they need talent and product to sell so then can fill their own grainerys. |
